Task #1

This initial blog post is for the P2PU School of Webcraft Webmaking 101.

I work as a student assistant at the Digital Media and Learning Hub at UCHRI, and it seems that every day it becomes more and more apparent that the large mass of websites that Google pulls up are the main means in which people communicate, whether it be to sell something, to find self-help tutorials on a variety of things, or just to find others with common interests. I have taken for granted the amount of work and effort it takes to learn and create a page that is visually appealing and functional. It seems that both need to work in harmony to create a page that will serve the needs of people who search for them every day. This is why I decided to join Webmaking 101.

As for me, I am an undergraduate at UC Irvine, and as stated above, am a student assistant. I am a Biological Sciences major.

  2. Hey Marc, best of luck to you. I'm also taking the challenges. I'll also leave a link here, if you don't mind.

  3. This is a good start for all of us I think. Nothing like a new year around the corner and new things to learn.
